Rik Panganiban

Rik Panganiban is program coordinator of the new SSRC program, Necessary Knowledge for a Democratic Public Sphere. His interests include the various intersections of public policy, civil society and information and communications technologies. Panganiban has worked with various international civil society networks over the past 10 years, most recently coordinating NGO participation at the UN World Summit on the Information Society and the first hearings on civil society with the UN General Assembly in 2005. He has a master's degree in international politics from New York University and a BA in communications and sociology from UCLA.
